The Theen Dham Yatra Package is a highly spiritual pilgrimage to three sacred homes high in the Garhwal Himalayas: Yamunotri, Gangotri, and Badrinath. This 10-day odyssey begins in Haridwar, traces the path of saints along untouched mountain valleys, and climbs to sacred Himalayan shrines. Along the way, pilgrims bathe in holy rivers, get blessings at ancient temples, and sit in silence at mountain retreats. Each moment of the odyssey, whether trekking to Yamunotri, participating in aarti at Gangotri, or relaxing at the hot springs of Badrinath, becomes a lifelong memory.
You start your holy journey at Haridwar, where our warm staff will receive you at the station or airport. After a short orientation, you move through picturesque plains which give way to ascending hills and lush valleys. Traveling over rivers and pine groves, you reach Barkot in the evening. Barkot is a peaceful hill station and is your home base for the trek to Yamunotri. After your guesthouse check-in, have a warm dinner and sleep the night away as excitement builds for the first temple visit.
Get an early start and have a healthy breakfast. Then head to Janki Chatti, the beginning of the Yamunotri trek. Devotees may hike the 6 km track or ride a pony or palki. The air becomes fresher along the way with Himalayan vistas increasing with each step. At Yamunotri Temple, you take a dip in the Surya Kund hot spring and pray with the assistance of local priests. From darshan, take the return path to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot. After arrival, relax over dinner and share stories of your Himalayan ascent.
After breakfast, depart Barkot and travel north along mountain roads. The journey leads through oak and pine forests, waterfalls, and terraced settlements. Arriving in Uttarkashi by midday, check into your hotel near the Bhagirathi River. After lunch, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a historic shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Its serene surroundings welcome contemplation. In the evening, roam the ghats of Uttarkashi, attend a small prayer gathering, and then relax over dinner at your hotel.
Depart early morning after breakfast for Gangotri, reaching mid-morning after a scenic drive. On reaching, do darshan at Gangotri Temple, promenade along the riverside, and absorb the pure mountain environment. Pilgrims take dips in the cold Bhagirathi waters as part of offerings. Post-local lunch, sit out in the afternoon meditating along the river or visiting smaller temples in the vicinity. With evening approaching, come back to Gangotri's guest house for dinner and acclimatize at a high altitude.
Following an early morning breakfast, leave Gangotri and drive through Uttarkashi again on the way to Guptkashi. The journey is dotted with tropical sight stops, scenic waterfalls, and rivers. Upon arrival in Guptkashi, check into your lodge and take lunch. It is a base town for Kedarnath. Visit the local market and perhaps take a trip to the ancient Ardhnarishwar Temple. End your evening with dinner and mountain tales by the campfire.
Wake up early in the morning for Kedarnath. Go by road to Gaurikund, trek 16 km to Kedarnath Temple, or take a helicopter if booked. The trek goes along green hillside paths, crosses handicraft shops, and ends up in the rocky shrine complex. On arrival at Kedarnath, join in the morning darshan of the Jyotirlinga with unbroken chanting. Take blessings before retiring in a guesthouse or a tent close to the temple. Dinner brings a deep night under the Himalayan stars.
After morning downtime darshan, start the return trek or fly by helicopter to Gaurikund. Drive south through Guptkashi, and then into mountain passes en route to Joshimath. The roads go upwards through glacier-fed streams and verdant valleys. Upon arrival at Joshimath, check-in for a hotel on the hillside and lunch. Afternoon: visit the local Narsimha Temple or explore a mountain town. Dinner and overnight halt give you time to rest before the last pilgrimage segment to Badrinath.
Drive after breakfast to Badrinath. The route ascends into desert-like high-altitude country. Check in mid-morning and then get set for temple darshan. Join the morning and evening puja ceremonies and take a dip in the Tapt Kund, said to cure all ails. Visit Mana Village the final Indian village along with Narad Kund and Vasudeva Shrine nearby. Lunch is followed by a serene return to the temple for the evening prayer. Guesthouse dinner comes with fresh mountain air and still devotion.
After early breakfast, leave Badrinath and drive downhill to Rudraprayag, where Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers converge at a holy union in a sacred confluence. Take a break for some reflection at the ghat. Drive back to Haridwar-area as the journey winds downhill through scenic valleys. Arrive late afternoon at your chosen drop point and end the package with new memories of mountains, rivers, and faith.
Every day of the Theen Dham Yatra is filled with history, religion, nature, and culture. From tourists coming back after having dips in frozen rivers to pilgrims praying at ancient temples, every second is full of significance.
