Reach at Delhi airport or railway station. You will be acquired by your driver and guide both of them to take you to your hotel. After settling in, the journey begins with a visit to Old Delhi. The first stop is Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques. Climb its minarets for sweeping city views. Next, sit in a cycle rickshaw and make rounds through Chandni Chowk, the city’s oldest market. Here you will hear vendors calling, smell spices, and spot vibrant fabrics. Visit a spice market and a sweets shop to taste local delights. Later, go to Red Fort, a 17th-century palace of the Mughal period constructed from gigantic red sandstone walls. Your guide will explain its importance and grand architecture.
Post lunch, proceed to New Delhi. Visit India Gate, a war memorial, and pass by the President's House and Parliament building. Then, visit Qutub Minar, a world heritage site with the tallest minaret made of bricks in India. Followed by the Lotus Temple, an architectural wonder in the form of a lotus flower and available to all faiths. After the day of discovery, have dinner at your hotel in the form of a welcome dinner. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Wake up early and have breakfast in your hotel. Check out and get your driver for the trip to Jaipur. Travel distance of 260 km is done in about five to six hours. As you leave Delhi, observe the landscape change from urban to countryside with patches of small villages and towns. Visit a roadside dhaba along the way for some local fare: tea, samosas, and fresh parathas are treats.
In the afternoon, you will reach Jaipur and check in at the hotel. Rest and freshen up. In the evening, go for a walk in Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, these both are famous for jewelry, textiles, handicrafts, and spices. Jaipur markets provide a great sensory experience with their colors and movement. In the evening, enjoy street foods such as kachori and jalebi, sweet and savory foods. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Jaipur.
Start your day after breakfast with a guided tour of Jaipur. First, go to Amber Fort, which is on a hilltop. You can go the traditional way by elephant ride or take a jeep ride up to the gate. Walk through the majestic courtyards and walkways of the fort and then proceed to the famous Sheesh Mahal, the palace of mirrors that glitters with tiny mirrors. Take a view of the sweeping panorama of the surrounding hills and lakes.
Then get back to the city to see Jal Mahal, it is a stunning palace that is floating in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, its views are ideal for a perfect photo. Then see City Palace, the blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture which contains museums with textiles, armory, and royal objects. Then head on foot to Jantar Mantar, an ancient observatory built by Raja Jai Singh II, with huge precision instruments. In the evening, indulge in a rich Rajasthani thali at Chokhi Dhani or a heritage resort.
After having an early morning breakfast, proceed towards Agra. The journey will cover Rajasthani villages and open countryside. Ask your guide to take you to Fatehpur Sikri, it is the old imperial city of Emperor Akbar built entirely of red sandstone. Do not forget to have a look at its spacious courtyards, imperial quarters, the Buland Darwaza, and the Chishti marble Shrine renowned for its echoing beauty. Your guide will tell you everything and narrate stories of Mughal politics and architecture.
Afternoon, drive to Agra and reach in the afternoon. Check into your hotel and freshen up. In the evening, visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO site as well, whose red walls face the Yamuna River. See royal apartments, mosques, and gardens within. Evening visit to Mehtab Bagh, a garden complex across the Taj Mahal. Here you get a glimpse of the mausoleum bathed in golden light at sunset. Return to the hotel for dinner. Night stay at Agra.
