Your first destination is the imposing Jaisalmer Fort, also referred to as Sonar Quilla due to its yellow sandstone that shines golden in sunlight. You stroll along the curving alleys and temples and nearby bazaars within the fort complex.
Following a tour of the fort, you proceed to the stunning Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, renowned for their intricate carvings and architecture. These old merchant houses have centuries-old stories of wealth and royalty. A visit to Gadisar Lake is a serene experience and bird and heritage archway photography in the afternoon. Your tour proceeds further towards the Sam Sand Dunes, approximately 40 km from the city.
Upon arrival there, you experience a camel safari over the long dunes in the time slot when the sun is starting to set. The pink-orange sky as a backdrop for the golden sands is one experience to eagerly await. Following the ride, you are greeted by a desert camp with traditional Rajasthani music and folk dance.
