Have breakfast, then go to Mandawa, in the Shekhawati area. The havelis in Mandawa boasts of a beautiful fresco that is hand-painted. Break in your hotel and rest.

Begin your walking tour of the village of Mandawa where every street is painted in beautiful colors with a representation of mythological tales, the history of kings and the life of the village. Go to Mandawa Fort which is full of elaborate artwork and has a beautiful view of the village at the top. Explore the rural environment, encounter local farmers, and study the culture of the traditional Rajasthani life. Several families here continue to stay in centuries old havelis, and some even open their doors to visitors in order to display their pieces of work and culture.Spend night at a bonfire, hear folks tales told by villagers.

Have breakfast and drive to Khimsar, one of the desert villages situated near Nagaur. Once you have checked in at your heritage hotel, you will get to spend some time at leisure in the natural environment. In the afternoon, go out on a jeep safari or on a camel ride to the local sand dunes. The ride has spectacular views of rural areas, grazing animals and mud houses. In the dunes, they will have tea with the beautiful sunset. Go to Khimsar Village where you are able to meet local potters, shepherds and weavers. The locals are famous for providing hospitality and living a simple life. You will be able to visit their traditional houses and learn how the rural Rajasthani families coexist with nature. Go back to your accommodation to have dinner and spend a peaceful night under the sky.

Post breakfast, proceed to the well known Bishnoi Village which has a strong environmental ethic, wildlife conservation and traditional crafts. Arrive and enter an eco-friendly village resort. Begin your exploration of the village by embarking on a local tour with a local guide who will show you the way of life of the Bishnoi community that believes in being nature and animal friendly. Pay a visit to the houses of artisans who work in hand weaving, pottery and block printing. Observe them make exquisite handicrafts with natural dye and hand made tools. There is also the possibility to observe wildlife blackbucks and peacocks strolling freely in the village since the Bishnoi people take care of them and treat them with love and respect. Getting to Chittorgarh, a rural area in which the region boasts a huge fort and agriculture settlements. Upon arrival, visit small village markets where women are selling handmade bangles, clay toys and traditional fabrics.

Explore Chittorgarh Fort which is among the largest Indian forts. Although the fort is historic, the surroundings of the fort are extremely rural. In this area, one can see farmers at work, women with clay pots and children playing on traditional games. You can spend your night in one of the surrounding villages where because of the close proximity, you are able to have an inexpensive Rajasthani meal with fresh and organic products produced locally.
