A leisurely boat ride in Naini Lake, the lifeline of the town surrounded by hills and vibrant houses, is a great way to begin your exploration. Naina Devi Temple- The temple is situated around the Nainital Lake and was rebuilt after being destroyed by a land-side in 1880. Proceed to the Mall Road for shopping of woollens, candles and local craft. In the evening, visit Snow View Point through the Ropeway for heavenly panoramas of Himalayas.
After breakfast, day visit for Nainital Sightseeing. Begin at Tiffin Top which is just a short walk or pony ride from the town and commanding views over Nainital as well as the hills around it and go on to visit St. Paul's Church just down the hill from Tiffin Top. Head to Eco Cave Gardens, which are a network of interconnected caves and hanging gardens ideal for a fun family outing.
