Arrival in Dehradun and spiritual orientation

You reach Dehradun by flight or train and are greeted by our representative who takes you to your hotel. Dehradun presents a serene climate and green foothills environment. In the evening, attend a briefing session that covers helicopter timetables, darshan timings, and most important rituals. You can visit local temples or just relax at the hotel. A light vegetarian dinner commences your spiritual regimen. Later, walk around the city's serene and pleasant atmosphere, if time allows, with a brief trip to Tapkeshwar Temple or local nature park. Early sleep is recommended for an early departure in the morning. Overnight in Dehradun.

Yamunotri darshan and blessings at the springs

After a nutritious breakfast, you’re transferred to the Sahastradhara helipad. The helicopter flight to Kharsali lasts approximately 20 minutes, offering a glimpse of terraced farms and river valleys. In Kharsali, priests and helpers welcome you. From here, pilgrims can choose a pony or palki ride or walk along the 6 km beautiful trail to the Yamunotri Temple. At the shrine, puja thaws the soul, and you get a ceremonial dip in Surya Kund hot springs. Post-rituals, head back to Kharsali for a light meal before a flight to Dehradun. Gangotri darshan and riverside meditation

Early morning departure after he leads you to the helipad to take a flight to Harsil. By air, you'll behold the Bhagirathi river flowing through steep valleys and pine hills. On reaching, a short transfer leads you to Gangotri Temple. Here you participate in pooja rituals and take a sacred dip in the icy Bhagirathi waters. Kedarnath darshan by helicopter

Your day starts with a 7 am briefing before taking your flight from the Dehradun helipad to the Kedarnath helipad, with a refueling stop in between. The scenic view of the Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba ranges is breathtaking. A short walk takes you to the Kedarnath Temple where priests conduct Rudra Abhishek and short Rudra Kirtan. Experience the majesty of snow-clad peaks and Himalayan quiet. You spend an hour at the shrine and offer individual prayers. Return flight returns you by evening. Badrinath darshan and sacred Maha Abhishek

Starting early in the morning, the helicopter takes off for Badrinath. The flight route passes over Mandakini Valley and steep mountain trails. Enter the sacred pilgrimage town and proceed to the temple. You are escorted to conduct the Maha Abhishek Puja at the sanctum sanctorum, with local priests chanting mantras. Post-darshan, proceed to the Tapt Kund for a ritual dip. Proceed to the vibrant Market Square and visit Bhim Pul and Mana village, delving into local culture and valley crafts. The evening helicopter leaves for Dehradun. Upon return, dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Optional additional darshan or rest

This complimentary day allows you to come back to Kedarnath or Badrinath by helicopter for a second darshan (dependent on weather and at personal cost). Or take a cultural outing to Rishikesh. Get up at the serene Triveni Ghat, walk across Lakshman Jhula, witness a Ganga Aarti, or experience short yoga at an ashram.

Departure from Dehradun

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Pilgrims who have walked to Kedarnath begin their journey back early, going 16 km to Sonprayag. Transport will already be organized from there to Guptkashi, where hot meals and comfortable accommodation are waiting. This is saved for complete rest and recuperation after the arduous walk. Pilgrims who took a helicopter usually arrive back early and can either go for local sightseeing or just stay back at the hotel. Spiritual satsangs or devotional sessions in the evening can be arranged. It's a serene and invigorating day that enables pilgrims to regain their energies before proceeding to the last dham, Badrinath.
