Jama Masjid
A short walk is the nation's largest mosque, built by Shah Jahan in 1656. The stunning sandstone and marble structure houses over 25,000 worshippers. Climb its minaret for a bird's-eye view of Old Delhi (modest dress code applies).
Rickshaw Ride in Chandni Chowk
And go on a cycle rickshaw tour through Chandni Chowk, a mad whirlpool of spice bazaars, sari bazaars, street food stalls, and ancient havelis. Get down to savor the parathas, jalebis, or lassi of well-known local food stalls.
Raj Ghat
A peaceful haven in the midst of city congestion, it is here that Mahatma Gandhi was cremated and now remembered. Even though the place is undeveloped, much respect is accorded to the Father of the Nation.
