Your day begins by visiting Kufri which is a small hill station 16 km away near Shimla after breakfast. Kufri is also known to have ski slopes during the winters and meadows full of green herbs during the summer season besides pony rides and exquisite hiking routes. There is the Himalayan Nature Park that accommodates local wildlife and birds. On coming back to Shimla, take a halt at Jakhoo Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, as one can see panoramic views of the surroundings on top of the temple. Later in the afternoon, discover the popular sites of Shimla such as the Christ Church, Scandal Point, and the State Museum. You also find woollens, handicrafts and souvenirs at the Lakkar Bazaar. Go back to the hotel where you have dinner and stay the night.
In the morning after breakfast today, leave your hotel and start driving through the beautiful drive to reach Manali. This approximately 89-hour stretch of drive passes through breathtaking scenes along the Beas River, apple orchards and small Himachali towns. You will also go around Sundernagar Lake and famous Pandoh Dam which provide good photography points. We drive up slowly up into the mountains and then the fresh air and cool breezes greet you to the town of Manali. Once you get there, get into your hotel and rest. Go on a short stroll in Mall Road of Manali in the evening, and catch a glimpse of little eateries and establishments. Savor some dinner at the hotel and get a good night's sleep before the fun begins.
This day is devoted to enjoying the adventurous majesty of the high Himalayas. Then, after breakfast, you will go to Solang Valley which is the Mecca of adventure sports like paragliding, zorbing, and ropeway rides. During winter, the valley is blanketed with snow which is suitable to ski and snowboard on. Depending on the weather and road conditions you will also visit Rohtang Pass which is situated at an elevation of 3,978 metres. The road to Rohtang is also scenic, and one will encounter snow-capped mountains, waterfalls and glaciers. Here, you are able to play in the snow, take pictures, and just absorb the beauty of the mountains. Get back to Manali in the evening and dine in, spending the night over in the hotel.
On the last day, wake up early in the morning and have breakfast and get out of your hotel. Your journey back to Delhi will again crisscross through the variances of landscape; mountains to plains. You may take tea or jump in quick shopping for local items, Himachali pickles or hand made woolens, on your way.
