The Chardham Group Tour Package is a planned spiritual pilgrimage for pilgrims who want to visit the divine Char Dham Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath within a group. Pilgrimming in a group provides a group charm to this already spiritually charged yatra, providing not just convenience and economy but also common devotion, group prayer, and lifetime friendships. This 12-day trek starts and concludes in Haridwar, among the most significant entry points to the Himalayas. The journey takes a clockwise direction, as ordained by Hindu culture, from Yamunotri, then Gangotri, to Kedarnath, and finally to Badrinath.
Arrive at Haridwar and check into the hotel where you’ll meet your fellow group members. The tour officially begins with a warm welcome, tour briefing, and light refreshments. In the evening, everyone walks together to Har Ki Pauri to witness the divine Ganga Aarti. Thousands of oil lamps float on the Ganga as chants echo across the ghats a mesmerizing start to the spiritual adventure. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast is followed by a road departure towards Barkot, the starting point for Yamunotri. The ride is picturesque and interspersed with quaint hill stations such as Mussoorie. There is a halt at Kempty Falls to refresh the group before continuing the climb. Arrive at Barkot in the evening and check into the lodge. Dinner is had at a common dining hall, providing the ideal ambiance for group interaction.
After early breakfast, proceed to Janki Chatti. Here, the group starts the 6 km hike to Yamunotri Temple, and ponies or palanquins can be hired for this purpose. After a sacred bath in Surya Kund and temple darshan, take some time to look around the Himalayan scenery. Trek back to Janki Chatti and proceed to Barkot. Dinner is succeeded by a relaxed satsang or bhajan session conducted by the group leader.
Breakfast and then depart for Uttarkashi, the spiritual center situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Arrive by the afternoon and check in. In the evening, visit the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Explore around the peaceful riverbanks, attend evening prayers, and return to the hotel for dinner.
Start early from Gangotri, the source of the Ganges. The journey is stunning, passing through valleys, waterfalls, and woods. On arrival, do puja and aarti at Gangotri Temple, and have a dip in the Bhagirathi River. Lunch is organized at a dharamshala or local restaurant. In the evening, return to Uttarkashi for dinner and night stay.
Today's trek is longer but offers marvelous scenery of Himalayan villages and confluences. Along the way, visit Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers join to create the Ganga. Drive to Guptkashi, check in to your hotel, and then proceed to the ArdhNarishwar Temple if time allows. Overnight stay in shared group rooms.
Early morning, travel to Sonprayag and then take a shuttle to Gaurikund, the trek starting point for Kedarnath (16 km one way). Trek with your group or take a helicopter, if pre-booked. Arrive at Kedarnath Temple by the evening for darshan. Overnight stay is provided in simple guesthouses close to the temple simple but divine, in the arms of the mountains.
Visit the early morning aarti at Kedarnath, then begin the downward trek to Gaurikund. Group organization ensures that all travel safely. Drive back to Guptkashi on reaching Sonprayag. Rest and relive experiences over a comforting dinner.
Today, travel towards Badrinath, the last stop of the Char Dham circuit. The drive passes through Karnaprayag and Nandaprayag. Arrive in Badrinath and check into the hotel. In the evening, visit Badrinath Temple, take a holy dip in Tapt Kund, and join the vibrant evening aarti. Optional visits to Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, and Saraswati River may be arranged based on time.
Post-morning darshan, return journey through Joshimath and Vishnuprayag, and arrive in Rudraprayag in the afternoon. Explore the meeting point of Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers, and unwind at the riverside lodge. Group bhajans may be conducted in the evening.
Post-breakfast drive to Rishikesh through picturesque valleys and twisting mountain roads. Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and Parmarth Niketan upon arrival. In the evening, experience the soul-stirring Triveni Ghat Aarti. Dinner and overnight at the group hotel.
Following breakfast, the group returns to Haridwar, where the tour ends. The travelers are dropped off at the railway station or their destination points of choice. With hearts full of blessings and a feeling of togetherness, the group scatters forever united by the divine journey they shared.
