Golden Triangle Tour with Pushkar

 Have breakfast first, then set out on your daylong tour of the attractions in Delhi.

Start in Old Delhi at India's largest mosque, Jama Masjid, and rickshaw ride down the crowded market streets of Chandni Chowk. Stop by Raj Ghat, the serene monument to Mahatma Gandhi. Continue to New Delhi, with an eye out for the imposing Qutub Minar, the elegant Humayun's Tomb with its symmetry, and the stunning Lotus Temple. Drive through India Gate, Parliament House, and Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Early breakfast, then drive to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway (approximately 3.5–4 hours). Check-in at the hotel and freshen up. Begin your sightseeing at the massive Agra Fort, the ancient palace of the mighty Mughal emperors. Walk through its courtyards, halls of audience, and towers that look over the Yamuna River.

In the afternoon, Mehtab Bagh, a riverfront garden with serene sunset views of the Taj Mahal floating on water, is worth a visit. It is a delightful preview of tomorrow morning's must-see site.

Wake-up call during sunrise to behold the Taj Mahal during sunrise when the ivory white marble gets softly bathed in golden and pink hues. Built by Shah Jahan to commemorate his dear wife Mumtaz Mahal, it's a monument of love eternal. Return to breakfast and check-out. Journey to Jaipur (about 5 hours), breaking the journey at Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar's exquisitely preserved red sandstone capital. Explore the Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, and the Tomb of Salim Chishti. Travel to Jaipur, Pink City, and arrive in the afternoon. Check into your hotel. Free time to unwind or stroll through local bazaars for hand-printed clothing and hand-made gifts.

Morning breakfast following an outing day for observing Jaipur. Visit Amber Fort, a site situated over hills overlooking Lake Maota. Pass through the fort in jeep or elephant and observe its dramatic interiors, e.g., glitteringly dazzling Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors).

Visit the City Palace, stunning complex of gardens, courtyards, and museums that is still home to the former royal family. Then visit the Jantar Mantar, UNESCO World Heritage Site observatory with enormous measuring instruments for astronomy.

Breakfast, then drive to Pushkar (approx. 3 hours), a tiny sacred town around a peaceful lake ringed by hills. Arrive and stay at your hotel. Start your searches with a visit to Brahma Temple, which is the only temple in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. Walk down narrow roads bordered by ashrams, colorful shops, and temples.

Late afternoon or early evening, walk down Pushkar Lake ghats, where pilgrims take holy baths. Witness the aarti ceremony at sunset—a spiritually revitalizing ritual that proves Pushkar's peaceful tempo.
