Tour Plan

Royal Forts and the Birthplace of Jaipur

Morning: Amber Fort & Jal Mahal

Start your introduction to royal Rajasthan with a ride through scenic countryside to Amber Fort, perched atop a rocky hill outside Jaipur. Constructed in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh, Amber Fort is a testament to Mughal and Rajput architecture, complete with exquisite mirror work, filigree frescoes, and expansive courtyards. Do not forget the stunning Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), the Public Audience Hall, and vistas over Maota Lake. You may drive up to the fort in a jeep or, if you are feeling nostalgic, by elephant ride.

Drive back to city, click Jal Mahal, fairytale Water Palace floating over Man Sagar Lake. Since entry is restricted, lake edge promenade offers ideal short walks, camel ride, and selfie spots amidst Aravalli scenery.

Afternoon: City Palace & Jantar Mantar

Following a soothing lunch at Rajasthani cuisine (optional), view the architectural grandeur of City Palace, which remains the abode of Jaipur royal family. Explore the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, and museum galleries with royal clothing, armory, and antiques.

Next to it stands Jantar Mantar, the 18th-century observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. This World Heritage Site is a marvelous place, with gigantic sundials and instruments that continue to keep perfect time with jaw-dropping accuracy.

Evening: Hawa Mahal & Market Stroll

Your day ends with a visit to the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Jaipur's most photographed monument. The five-story facade with 953 windows was constructed so that royal ladies could see street activity without themselves being seen. Take a ride to the top for views of the city.

Finish off the evening with a walk along Johari Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar, where you can browse for jewelry, fabrics, and traditional handicrafts.

Cultural Immersion and Hill Fort Views

Morning: Albert Hall Museum & Artisan Activities

Begin the day at the Albert Hall Museum, Jaipur's oldest museum located inside Ram Niwas Garden. The Indo-Saracenic building has a vast collection of ancient coins, paintings, sculptures, musical instruments, and even an Egyptian mummy.

From here, indulge in Jaipur's craft tradition. Take a blue pottery workshop tour, and observe how Jaipur's world-famous turquoise ceramics are made. Or take part in a block printing workshop with local craftspeople in Sanganer or Bagru—a perfect activity for travelers who don't mind getting their hands dirty with cultural immersion.

Afternoon: Jaigarh Fort & Nahargarh Fort

Visit the hill forts that stand sentinel along Jaipur's horizon. The Jaigarh Fort, constructed during the 18th century to protect Amber Fort, is the first. It houses the Jaivana Cannon, once the largest wheeled cannon on planet earth. The rugged terrain and lesser footfall of the fort make it the perfect hideaway for history lovers and photography buffs alike.

Then, head to Nahargarh Fort, which has the finest views of Jaipur, particularly during sunset. You may proceed to the palace within, have a coffee at the rooftop café, or just bask in the golden light of the Pink City below.

Evening: Cultural Performance (Optional)

Top off your day with a complimentary Rajasthani cultural show, featuring folk dances, puppet shows, and a traditional dinner. Chokhi Dhani or local heritage havelis can be booked on request.

Temples, Traditions & Goodbye Jaipur

Morning: Galta Ji (Monkey Temple)

Breakfast at hotel & then see the Galta Ji Temple, an unusual temple complex within a rocky gorge. Also referred to as the Monkey Temple, it is famous for its holy springs, bathing ghats, and scores of cheeky langur monkeys. The temple is serene in the morning and provides a mix of nature and spirituality.

Late Morning: Local Life & Offbeat Walks

If time permits, take a walking tour of Jaipur's old city with a local guide. Walk through old havelis, stepwells, temples, and craftsmen's quarters—a fulfilling experience to understand the daily rhythm of this ancient city.

Take chai at a local tea stall, or pick up last-minute souvenirs on departure.
