Jaipur – Arrival and Local Charm

Reach the Rajasthan capital, Jaipur or the Pink City. On arrival at the airport or railway station, you will be welcomed by a representative of Chetram Holidays and helped into checking into your hotel. Next go to Albert Hall Museum which is the oldest museum in Jaipur with some art, armor and local sculptures. Go on a walk throughout Bapu Bazaar, a colorful marketplace famous because of block prints, souvenirs, and traditional goods. The evening will be colorful after which you visit your hotel.

 

Jaipur – Royal Architecture and Historic Forts

Post breakfast, proceed to Amber Fort, which is one of the most beautiful Forts of the region-Rajasthan. Visit its palaces, courtyards and Sheesh Mahal which is all stocked by mirrors. During the route back, take some photos at Jal Mahal which is a palace within the Man Sagar Lake. Thereafter, you can see the City Palace that is a working royal residence, museums and etched courtyards. Surrounded by it, there is Jantar Mantar, the ancient observatory and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. End your day spent at the most popular Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, so called because of its pink face and hundreds of windows. Back to the hotel to have a sleep in Jaipur.

 

Jaipur to Udaipur – A Scenic Transition

Check out in the morning and start your ride to Udaipur, at a distance of 400 km. The highway transports you through plains and small hills, with sights of small villages and open country sides. Your first stop is the resort city of Udaipur, the City of Lakes and you will be checked into the hotel. Spend the evening on a nice stroll on the Fateh Sagar Lake or visit a lakeside cafe. Udaipur is a beautiful contrast to the chaotic attraction of Jaipur, due to the peaceful waters and the romantic atmosphere.

Udaipur – Palaces, Gardens, and Lake Views

Start your tour in a great City Palace which is one of the largest complexes of palaces in Rajasthan. It provides scenic sights of the Lake Pichola and also it encloses royal items, halls, and ancient artifacts.Then see Jagdish Temple, which is a temple dedicated to Hindu religion built in the 17 th century standing close to the palace. Stroll along the ornamented lanes and take a tour of Saheliyon Ki Bari which was a royal park used by the queen and her friends. It contains fountains, marble pavilions and flowering lotus pools. Come back to your hotel after a day of royal beauty and lake side calmness.

Udaipur to Mount Abu – Journey to the Hills

Head to Mount Abu which is the only bridge station in Rajasthan. The route goes through the greenery of the Aravalli Hills and it has fresh air and cooler climate. Upon arrival to Mount Abu, you check in your hotel and settle. Start your local tour by visiting the Nakki Lake which is the highlight of the town. Follow either its calm banks or have a ride in a paddle boat (optional). Visit toad rock, a natural rock form and enjoy great view of the lake.In evening visit Sunset point, which is one of the beautiful points in mount Abu and enjoy sun setting off hills as seen through the trees. Before leaving Mount Abu, visit the famous Dilwara Temples, a group of Jain temples renowned for their intricate marble carvings and calm spiritual environment.Depending on your schedule, you’ll be driven back to Jaipur or dropped at Udaipur Railway Station/Airport for your onward journey.
