Arrival at Jaipur – The Pink City

 

Your tour of Rajasthan begins in the city of Jaipur, fondly referred to as the Pink City. You are welcomed at the airport or railway station and driven to your hotel. After checking in and rest, set out on a memorable city tour. Begin at the breathtaking Amber Fort, an architectural marvel with gigantic ramparts, stunning mirror work, and regal courtyards. Walk to stunning City Palace, a mix of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture, and then Jantar Mantar, the observatory with interesting instruments. Look up at breathtaking Hawa Mahal, this pretty pink sandstone palace with its famous honeycomb windows. Shopping in the evening at Johri Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, the lively bazaars where old-fashioned jewelry, attire, and handicrafts are available for purchase. Cultural dinner at Chokhi Dhani in the evening, watching Rajasthani folk music and enjoying Rajasthani food. Overnight at Jaipur.

 

Jaipur to Mandawa – The Open Art Gallery

 

After a healthy breakfast, drive off to Mandawa, an ancient but culturally evolved town renowned for its lovely painted havelis. Step in and behold the architectural splendor of Mandawa's stunning mansions adorned with lovely frescoes that illustrate Rajput as well as Mughal architecture. Visit the renowned Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli for its intriguing paintings, grand Jhunjhunwala Haveli, and Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, every one of which has astounding paintings that record the glorious history of Rajasthan. Go for a walk on Mandawa streets at sunset time, soaking up the heritage feel, before night stay in this tiny heritage town.

 

Bikaner from Mandawa – Jewel of the Desert


 

Afternoon breakfast, there is a visit to the desert city of Bikaner, a city renowned for history and architectural beauty. Begin your day at the humongous Junagarh Fort, an unconquered fort containing magnificent palaces, courtyards, and museums filled with royal jewels. Afterward, visit the intriguing Karni Mata Temple, popularly known as the Rat Temple, where thousands of rats are worshipped and roam around temple premises. At evening, stroll through the city bazaars that even provide the amenity to purchase Bikaneri sweets and handicrafts. Overnight in Bikaner.

 

Bikaner to Jaisalmer – The Golden City.

 

After breakfast, drive to the breathtaking Golden City of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer. On entering the city, you will be awestruck by yellow stone structures. Overnight stay in the regal Suryagarh Hotel, where you can unwind in its royal atmosphere. Evening drive to serene Gadisar Lake, an ancient water reservoir storage flanked by temples and ghats.
