Arrival in Udaipur – Welcome to the City of Lakes

Your tour to the most romantic and culturally rich city of Rajasthan Udaipur starts in Udaipur. We will send our representative over at the Chetram Holidays, and you can be picked up by him at the airport, station or your hotel and will help you check in. Start your excursions with a visit to Fateh Sagar Lake where peace prevails and hills surround it. Go to Saheliyon Ki Bari, a royal garden and marvel at its fountains, marble pavilions, and lotus pools, which were built as a pleasure garden for the queen and her maids.

Udaipur – Palaces, Temples, and Lakeside Beauty

Start your morning by visiting the majestic City palace, located on the eastern side of the lake Pichola. Visit its museums, adorned courtyards and galleries displaying the life-style of Mewar kings, and then, there is Jagdish Temple, an Indo-Aryan style temple devoted to Lord Vishnu that is famous with its carved pillars and peaceful location. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Blue City below.After that visit Jaswant Thada which is a serene white marble cenotaph constructed in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Afterwards, leave the hotel and get to Jaisalmer (approximately 290 km). En route you get varying sceneries including hilly terrain and desert terrain.Arrive at Jaisalmer evening and check into the hotel. Spend a peaceful night or visit the tourist spot of your choice.

 

Jaisalmer – Fort, Havelis, and Desert Camp Stay

Start your exploration of Jaisalmer by visiting a renowned fort which is often called Jaisalmer Fort or Sonar Quila or the Golden Fort. This is an inhabited fort with houses, temples and shops within it unlike most forts.After this, take a look at the marvelous Patwon Ki Haveli, a complex of extravagantly designed mansions constructed by rich merchants. Next, go to Nathmal Ki Haveli, another architectural wonder. Visit Gadisar Lake, a serene artificial lake with a number of temples and shrines by the lake.Later on, drive to Sam Sand Dunes, a distance of around 40 km. In the desert camp, go through the traditional welcome ceremonies after which there is folk music and performance of cultural dances. The camel rides or the jeep safaris are optional and may be organized through the sandy golden dunes.Sleep in a luxuriously furnished desert tent and feel the twinkle of the Thar.

 

Jaisalmer to Udaipur – Return with Memorie

Wake up to the serene environment of the desert. You will need to leave the camp after breakfast and start driving to Udaipur.
