Explore the city and river with views at Mansa Devi Temple by cable car then Chandi Devi Temple, another important shrine that is located on top of a hill. During the evening, go to the Har Ki Pauri Ghat to observe the famous Ganga Aarti of the world. When hundreds of diyas are floating on the water, the chants are heard in the air and bells ring in harmony, the experience is giving you a sense of tranquility and piety. Thereafter, walk around the local bazaars, taste mouth-watering kachoris, jalebis, and buy souvenirs in the form of Rudraksha beads and brass idols.

Explore Haridwar

Begin your day by dipping in the holy Ganges in Har Ki Pauri which is thought to purify the soul. Have breakfast and then visit Daksha Mahadev Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in the area and Sapt Rishi Ashram where seven sages used to meditate. Another place that you can visit is Shantikunj Ashram which is a spiritual learning and meditation center. In the afternoon, drive briefly to Rajaji National Park, undergo a jeep safari and in the process may see elephants, deer, and exotic birds. Complete the day by a quiet stroll along the ghats as the sun goes down the sacred river and that captures the quietness and beauty of Haridwar.

Arrival in Rishikesh

Following breakfast, make a picture-esque 1-hour journey to a spiritual town of adventure, Rishikesh. Upon arrival, get yourself checked into a hotel, and begin your trip with a trip to Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, which are the most famous suspension bridges where you could get a panoramic view of the river.

Then go to Triveni Ghat where 3 holy rivers meet namely Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers and observe the Ganga Aarti ceremony in the evening, the experience is less dramatic than that of Haridwar yet equally divine. Dining out, visit such cafes as Beatles Cafe or Little Buddha Cafe where you will be able to have meals with a gorgeous view of the river.

Rishikesh Sightseeing

Rishikesh is the adventure capital of Uttarakhand, and nowadays, it is ideal to experience such activities as white-water rafting, bungee jumping, or zip-lining (not compulsory, according to the preference). You can relax at one of the peaceful river beaches after your adventure or you can also attend a yoga or meditation session in one of the local ashrams. During the afternoon visit Neelkanth Mahadev Temple located in the midst of thick forests and visit Beatles Ashram which is home to graffiti paintings and a serene environment. In the evening, you would like to have a walk around Tapovan Market to buy hand crafts and yoga supplies and later spend the night in your hotel.

Drive to Mussoorie - Queen of Hills.

Following breakfast, go by winding mountainous roads to Mussoorie which is the jewel of Uttarakhand. Once there, have lunch in your hotel and venture into the beautiful Mall Road that is full of shops, cafes, and sights.

Ride a cable car to the second-highest point in Mussoorie, Gun Hill, where the Himalayan peaks and Doon Valley can be seen beautifully. You can go to Camel’s Back Road later, and take a relaxing stroll in the evening to see the hills being tinted with golden colors by the sunset. Have dinner in a restaurant which is located at the hill-view and spend the night at your hotel.
