The trip begins as long as you arrive at Corbett in either Delhi or Dehradun. One of them will attend to you, checking in at the resort. During the afternoon one can walk along the riverside or towards the village and hear birds. Light music plays at dinner. A bonfire and dinner is carried out in the evening at the resort. Rise early and a jeep safari in the Jim Corbett national park which has tigers, wild elephants, deer and an assortment of birds. The air in the morning is fresh and the jungle is vivid. Breakfast in the resort. The remaining part of the day should be spent on rest, swimming or attending the Corbett Museum. Overnight and dinner at Corbett. After your thrilling jungle safari, unwind amid the serene wilderness or capture stunning wildlife photographs. Spend your evening listening to the soothing sounds of nature by the riverside.
Breakfast drive to Rishikesh, a town lying on the bank of Ganga. Check into the hotel. Rafting, cliff jumping or walking through the river as people do their yoga is all available in the afternoon. Ye Paye bridges Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula.Enjoy a scenic drive through lush forests and winding mountain roads to Rishikesh. Later, feel the spiritual and adventurous vibe of the town with river activities and evening prayers by the Ganga.Going in the evening to the Triveni Ghat to witness the Ganga aarti. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
Breakfast and then drive to Haridwar, a very sacred city. Worth viewing: Mansa Devi (a cable ride ends at the devi) and Chandi Devi which gives one spectacular view of the city, river. Watch ceremonies, ghats walk and purchase souvenirs. Jalebi and rabri are some local sweets which are to be found at the ghats. Evening crime watch: take part in Har Ki Pauri Ganga aarti. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Breakfast and then drive out to Mussoorie, my favorite hill town. Have lunch in the hotel and spend time in the cool mountain air. In the afternoon visit Gun Hill where there is a ropeway where one can ride and witness the Himalayas and Doon Valley. Walk Mall Road, which is equipped with stores and cafes. Stroll with the heat of hot momos or corn. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.
Post breakfast visit the Kempty falls, a lovely water fall whereby you can rest or crack your feet on the cold water. Then go to sites such as the Company Garden, Camel Back Road and Lal Tibba, the highest site in Mussoorie. On sunny days, Lal Tibba is marvelous in terms of the mountains that are covered with snow. Either spend the evening in the hotel or once more walk Mall Road. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.
Check out for breakfast and drive towards Dehradun, the Uttarakhand capital. These places include Robber cave, Tapkeshwar Temple, and the Forest Research institute (Provided there is time). You will then be dumped in the rail-way station or in the airport to go home. The experience you have had here will leave behind you the forests of Uttarakhand, its rivers, temples, and hills.
