We go to the Pithoragarh Fort after breakfast to take a panorama of the valley. It is followed by a visit to Kapileshwar Mahadev Temple, which is a cave temple of Lord Shiva and is surrounded by greenery. Another admirable site where one should visit is Thal Kedar, one of the most beautiful hill areas, with temples, scenery etc. Four in the afternoon we get into the market, to make purchases of local snacks. It is followed by a scenic drive with a distance of around 130km to Munsiyari. The road cuts across woods, brooks and twisting lanes. We halted and had the pleasure of the Himalayas. And at Munsiyari I am lodged in the hotel where I sleep. We take a walk around town in the evening at sunset, seeing the Panchachuli Peaks which are five snow-white pygmies, too beautiful at sunset. Early mornings and watching the Sunrise behind the Panchachuli Peaks. Our morning trip is to the Tribal Heritage Museum where we get to know about the Bhotia. Then there is the Birthi falls, which is a beautiful waterfall at approximately 35 km distance from Munsiyari. We hike to the falls to capture the photos and have a rest close to the water falls. Later back to Munsiyari in the evening where we ate local foods in the hotel. Overnight in Munsiyari.
Have the breakfast and drive to Chaukori, a peaceful hill station of magnificent sunrise and sunsets. Check into the hotel. Chaukori is also located in the middle of tea gardens and provides good scenery of Nanda Devi and Trishul mountains. During the evening we walk across the village, pay visits to tea gardens and relax. The place is a very good spot to view the sunset. Overnight in Chaukori.
We complete the journey after having breakfast by driving back to Kathgodam railway station. And be it upon the manner we give a last farewell to the mountains and valleys.
