It is a journey that one who wishes to see religious places, have a feel of mountain air, and sleep in nature.Uttarakhand would be best viewed in 6 days. Beginning in Haridwar with the Ganga Aarti, the prayers and lights encounter the river. Then visit Rishikesh, a small town of yoga, yoga and adventure. Next go to Mussoorie where it is a fine hill station. Then go to Dhanaulti, a lonely place amidst cedar. Ski in Chopta, a Himalayan village, which resembles a mini Switzerland.

You reach the Airport or the Railways station of Dehradun. We are introduced to you, welcome you and take you to Haridwar within half an hour.
During the evening you go to Har Ki Pauri which is the famous Ganga ghat and observe the Ganga Aarti where the priests light lamps and people sing. There are dotted lamps on the water and it appears to be magical. Shopping of prayer items, bangles and souvenirs could also be done in the local market. Stay overnight in Haridwar.
We then go out after breakfast to Rishikesh in approximately 30 minutes. We begin with the two well-known hanging bridges across the Ganga which are Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Then go to temples like Trayambakeshwar which is a tall temple with numerous stories.
Rishikesh is also an adventure destination where one can indulge in river rafting, bungee jumping or zip lining ( optional and at your own cost). Peace can be found at the river or you can attend a short meditation session in an ashram. In the evening stroll by the river and experience the cool air. Stay overnight in Rishikesh.
We will drive to Mussoorie, some 2.5 hrs. after breakfast. The highway is located in forests and has beautiful valley scenery. Spend the night at your hotel in Mussoorie.
Visit Mall Road, the main tourist street of the town in the evening. Have hot meals such as momos, purchase woolen clothes or even watch the sunset with a panoramic view. Mussoorie is a popular hill station due to the cool climate and serene environment. Stay overnight in Mussoorie.
We leave in the morning after breakfast and travel 25km to Dhanaulti, a small hill town which is less crowded than other places. Visit Eco Park which is a green park with cedar trees. Take your walk, take your benches and breathe the pure mountain air.
There are other activities which adventure lovers can undertake at their own cost like jungle zip lining and horse riding. Dhanaulti is also a good location where one can take nature pictures. Back to Mussoorie and spend the night.
Early breakfast followed by checkout and driving to Chopta which is approximately 67 hours on the road. The trip goes through the valleys, rivers and villages. You will find snowy Himalayan mountains when you come there.
The village of Chopta is a tiny mountain village that is surrounded by meadows and forests. Stroll to the mountain top, or just relax in the cool mountain air. Lovers of trekking can decide to take a short walk to Tungnath, which is one of the highest temples of Shiva. Stay overnight in Chopta.
We depart the hotel after breakfast and get to Dehradun Airport or Railway Station where you board your next flight. You would remember home with great memories of holy rivers, quiet hills, fresh air and breathtaking Himalayan scenes.
