Tour Plan

Arrival in Udaipur

Take a flight to Udaipur, out of any big city in Rajasthan, and get a room in a hotel. Take a break then start with the most popular attraction, the City Palace which is the core of the royal heritage of Udaipur. When you are strolling along its white marble aisles, its huge archways, its exquisitely decorated rooms, you will perceive centuries of Mewar history in its murals, mirror work, and royal artefacts. See the Mor Chowk, Manek Chowk, and panoramic terraces which command Lake Pichola. Take your time and visit the courtyards and museums which are all telling the stories of the Rajput dynasty. Once you have also explored, go to a cafe by a lake and have a dinner when the sun sets and imparts a golden color on the still waters. Go back to your hotel and have some rest.

Explore Ajmer

Begin your day with breakfast and drive to Ajmer which is a very historical and religious city. The first thing to do on your day is to visit the holy location called Ajmer Sharif Dargah which is a place where people around the world come and pay tribute by offering prayers. Stroll through the busy streets of dargah bazaar with garlands of roses, incense and sweets. Spend time in the marble courtyard where the relaxing Sufi atmosphere provides some peace. The next stop after the visit is the Ana Sagar Lake, a scenic location to take photographs and to relax. Have a local dhaba dinner that serves a typical Rajasthani fare and then drive back to Udaipur. During the evening, relax in your hotel or you can have a short walk along Fateh Sagar Lake and then close your day.

Explore Eklingji Temple

Early up early and travel to the historic town of Eklingji that is a temple town amidst hills and calm landscapes. It is a complex of a thousand-year-old complex devoted to Lord Shiva and is characterized by the complex stone architecture. The carved pillars and sculpted walls will welcome you as you enter and a serene atmosphere which is the hallmark of the real Rajasthani heritage will welcome you. Watch the sacred ceremonies, go to find out the smaller shrines within the complex and take time to learn about the history related to the rulers of Mewar who believed that Eklingji was their royal deity. You can have a traditional meal after visiting your temple in a local restaurant. Return to Udaipur and spend the remainder of the day touring small stores in the vicinity of the old city, buying miniature paintings, jewellery and colourful textiles. Have dinner and return to your hotel.

Visit Badi Lake

Have breakfast and visit the quiet Badi Lake as one of the most picturesque and calm places in Udaipur. In the distance of people, this lake is a crystal-clear water body, hilly, and serene atmosphere that one can enjoy relaxing. Stroll along the rock hills, rest at the observation points and capture lovely images of the stretching Aravalli hills being reflected in the water. In case you like short walks in nature, visit the hiking paths around the city that may lead to higher points of view such as Bahubali hill where you can see a panoramic view of the surrounding areas and therefore it is worth the hike. Have a tranquil lunch in a local cafe in the country and then drive back. Beautifully carved royal memorials make the Ahar Cenotaphs a group of places to visit at the end of your day and feel like you have been transported into a world of old heritage. Get back to your hotel and have a night.

Explore Alsigarh Village and Departure.

Go on a day out to Alsigarh, a non-tourist village in the Aravalli region, on your last day. It is an untouched place that has rolling farmlands, rocky hills, freshwater streams and complete peace. Stroll by the village tracks, mingle with the locals, and feel the primitiveness of rural Rajasthan. When it is monsoon season or winter, there will be little waterfalls and greenery in the valley. Take part in a traditional rustic lunch that is being cooked on a wood-fired chulha in a local home or dhaba. Take your time and spend the refreshment day in nature then drive back to Udaipur and head towards the point of departure. The trip will end with a gorgeous memory of lakes, mountains, spirituality, and village life.
